This week’s theme for Apple may be all about Air, but for the iPad, it’s not just about the iPad Air M3. Apple has also updated their entry-level iPad, officially called the iPad 11th Gen according to previous rumors.
The iPad 11th Gen comes with the A16 chip, which Apple claims is a worthy option with good overall performance for everyday use. The battery life lasts all day, and it’s nearly 30% faster than the iPad 10th Gen. Compared to the iPad 9th Gen with the A13 chip, it’s almost 50% faster.
Apple isn’t just pushing the iPad 11th Gen to tempt users of older models to upgrade. They also mention that the A16 chip in this iPad is up to 6 times faster when compared to the best-selling Android tablet (Apple didn’t specify which model, but mentioned the Qualcomm SM6375 chip running Android 14).
The iPad 11th Gen doesn’t have Apple Intelligence like other iPad models, but it focuses on price. The storage options start at 128GB, followed by 256GB and 512GB, with new colors including blue, pink, yellow, and silver. The starting price is 12,900 baht for the Wi-Fi model, equivalent to the 64GB iPad 10th Gen. The Wi-Fi + Cellular model starts at 18,900 baht, with the sale date in Thailand yet to be determined.
