Telegram has recently updated several new features for the month of July. Within the app, the Telegram Browser now allows you to close or minimize the screen to do other things and come back to continue browsing without having to start over. It has added tab systems and supports Web3 on the TON network.
The Mini App Store on Telegram mentions that now more than 500 million accounts are using Mini Apps out of 950 million users to promote greater Mini App usage. They have added an Apps section in the search box to make it easier to search for or discover interesting apps.
For developers, Mini Apps can now upload sample videos, screenshots of the app to provide additional details, and even post stories to show to those who have downloaded the app.
Telegram Stars can now purchase stars as gifts for friends in their contact list.
Other features include adding flash when recording video with the front camera, adding weather stickers for posts in stories, selecting cover images for posted stories, and showing tabs for the browser and Mini Apps in the macOS version.
TLDR: Telegram’s latest updates include enhanced browsing within the app, a growing Mini App user base, new features for developers, and additional features such as flash for video recording, weather stickers, and more on the macOS version.
