Revealing the Apple Vision Pro’s Higher Return Rate Compared to Other Slightly Smaller Apple Products, Slightly above Average but not Cause for Concern.

Previously, there have been reports of individuals returning their Apple Vision Pro headsets within the first few days of purchase, adhering to the 14-day return policy. However, the question remains, how many units have been returned?

Apple has chosen not to disclose this numerical data, prompting the need to seek answers elsewhere. Mark Gurman of Bloomberg has compiled information from various Apple Stores across America, revealing that the rate of returns falls between average and above average when compared to other Apple products launched in the past. Some Apple Store locations see daily returns ranging from 0-1 units, while smaller outlets may have none, and larger stores could witness up to 8 returns in a single day.

Gurman believes that these figures do not necessarily indicate a significant problem for Apple regarding returns. He conducted interviews with a group of die-hard Apple fans who purchased the Vision Pro, both those who returned the product and those who plan to continue using it. Common complaints included the headset being bulky for prolonged use, limited app availability, inconvenience in using it for work similar to a Mac display, and excessively bright screen causing eye fatigue. Some users noted that it is common for initial Apple products to have room for improvement, such as the first-generation iPhone lacking 3G, the iPad not supporting multitasking, and the Apple Watch only being IPX7 water-resistant, suggesting that the Vision Pro may require more refinements than usual.

Overall, while everyone appreciates the technology in the Vision Pro, they believe it is not yet at its peak. In conclusion, Gurman referenced sources indicating that those awaiting the Vision Pro 2nd Generation may have to wait a bit longer, possibly around 18 months, before Apple releases a new version.

TLDR: Returns of the Apple Vision Pro headset appear to be slightly higher than average, with users expressing concerns about its bulkiness, limited app selection, and bright screen causing eye strain. Apple enthusiasts are anticipating improvements in the next generation Vision Pro, but they may need to wait around 18 months for its release.
