Following the successful release of Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake in November 2024, it’s now time for the previous installments, Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake, to take the center stage.
Last night, Square Enix unveiled the first trailer for Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake. The graphics seem to be on par with the III Remake, as they are part of the same remastered series. The game is set to hit the shelves sometime in 2025, with the exact month yet to be announced. It will be available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
Square Enix has also revealed their intention to release the games in chronological order, starting with III, followed by I, and finally II, following the timeline of the Erdrick trilogy. Despite each installment having its own independent storyline, players are free to choose which one to dive into first.
