Sony and Guerrilla Games have officially announced the release of Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered after leaked information surfaced earlier.
Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered is a reimagined version of the PS4 game released 7 years ago, now with upgraded graphics for the PS5 era. The remastering duties are handled by Nixxes Software, a studio under Sony’s expertise in game porting. The graphics have been enhanced to 4K levels and optimized for the upcoming PS5 Pro. Additionally, the PC version supports new graphics technologies such as NVIDIA DLSS 3 and AMD FSR 3.1.
The remastered version also includes recorded dialogues in the game, new motion capture, improved audio system supporting PS5’s 3D Audio Tempest, Dolby Atmos, and revamped game control methods for the PS5 DualSense controller.
The game is set to be released on October 31, 2024, priced at $49.99. Customers who have previously purchased Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Zero Dawn Complete Edition can upgrade to the Remastered version for $9.99 (customers with the PS4 disc must use a PS5 with disc drive and keep the disc inserted while playing).
