Another surprise from the gaming media industry, when Game Informer magazine, which closed in August 2024, has miraculously returned with the original team intact. What’s unusual is that they didn’t just come back online, as the print edition is also set to make a comeback.
The reason behind this revival is that Game Informer’s ownership has changed hands from the game-selling giant GameStop to the new owner, Gunzilla Games, the creators of the shooter game Off the Grid. They want the magazine and website to continue in its original direction, prompting the original team to reunite once again.
Currently, the Game Informer website and various social media channels are back in service, along with all the old content accumulated since 1991. Details regarding the magazine edition will be announced soon.
