Panasonic Group has announced the utilization of artificial intelligence to create a lifelike humanoid modeled after Konosuke Matsushita, the founder of the company. By using over 3,000 recorded articles, descriptions, and voices as training data, Matsushita, acknowledged as a management expert in Japan, was revered for his philosophy of socially responsible business management until his passing in 1989.
According to Panasonic, senior executives of the company have previously received direct guidance or coaching from Matsushita himself. However, with the dwindling number of such personnel within the organization, the decision was made to incorporate AI to transmit organizational ideas and vision to the next generation of executives.
In collaboration with Matsuo Institute of the University of Tokyo, Panasonic is developing an AI model capable of thinking and speaking in a manner closely resembling the individual. The company envisions using this AI to aid in future business decision-making.
