Apple has unveiled its latest M4 Pro processor chip along with the introduction of the new Mac mini. The M4 Pro boasts a maximum of 14 cores (delivering 10 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores), with a maximum of 20 GPU cores and a 16-core Neural Engine.
The M4 Pro chip supports a maximum RAM size of 64GB, more than the M4’s maximum of 32GB, and enhances AI workload capabilities with a bandwidth of 273GB/s – reportedly surpassing the AI chip bandwidth of all PC counterparts by twofold. It also supports Thunderbolt 5, enabling data transfers of up to 120 Gb/s, twice as fast as Thunderbolt 4.
Rumors suggest that Apple may have a MacBook Pro with the unreleased M4 Max chip, similar to the M3 model.
