AMD has implemented a cutting-edge technique to improve frame rates called AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) (distinct from FSR, which deals with upscaling image quality). The latest release, AFMF 2, has seen enhancements in its capabilities.
One notable addition in AFMF 2 is the reduction of latency from frame generation by an average of 28% (tested with Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K resolution) and the ability to be used in conjunction with AMD’s Radeon Anti-Lag 2 technology.
