Adobe has updated the Frame.io V4 platform for collaborative content production on the cloud. In addition to improved speed and revamped workflows, this latest version also introduces support for connecting camera data directly to the cloud.
A key new feature is the ability to collaborate on tagging metadata in image-video files, such as specifying categories, responsible parties, dates, used social channels, and more. Users can also easily view detailed information related to the data.
Adobe has further enhanced the video player system, reducing buffering and displaying images in greater detail for more accurate review by user teams.
Lastly, the new feature of direct file transfer from camera to cloud (Camera to Cloud, C2C) now supports additional camera brands like Canon, Nikon, and Leica, expanding support for popular cameras used across the industry (previously Fujifilm, Panasonic, and RED). This C2C feature also adds integration with Lightroom for immediate image editing capabilities.
The new Frame.io V4 is now beginning to roll out to all Frame.io customers starting today.
TLDR: Adobe updates Frame.io V4 platform with enhanced collaboration features, metadata tagging, improved video player, and direct camera-to-cloud file transfer capabilities for a seamless content production experience.
