Revolutionary Google Update Facilitates Uninstallation of Remote-controlled Applications via Play Store

Google has unveiled a feature that will allow users to uninstall apps from the Play Store remotely. This feature is expected to be available in the near future, as reported by TheSpAndroid, who discovered references to this feature in a Google system update in December.

Google simply stated that this new feature will help users uninstall apps on connected devices, without providing any further details. However, it specified that the feature will be available in Google Play Store version 38.3. Interestingly, when this version was released, the feature was not included. But the latest discovery reveals that it is now present in app version 38.8.

According to TheSpAndroid, to access this feature in Play Store version 38.8, users need to enable a flag. Once enabled, they can tap on the Google account icon and then select “Manage apps & devices” to start using the feature. In the current version of Play Store, this page only displays the list of installed and uninstalled apps.

Initially, this feature might not show the complete list of apps for users. Therefore, managing installed apps on devices could still be better done manually. However, the recent update now allows users to sort apps on other devices based on file size within the “Manage apps & devices” page.

Google has stated that this feature will be available in the Play Store and will work with apps on Android Auto, computers, phones, TVs, and Wear OS.

TLDR: Google has announced a new feature that will enable users to uninstall apps from the Play Store remotely. Although initial versions may not show the complete list of apps, the latest update now allows users to sort apps based on file size within the “Manage apps & devices” page. This feature will be available in the Play Store and will be compatible with apps on Android Auto, computers, phones, TVs, and Wear OS.
