Microsoft has recently updated the Xbox app on mobile devices running Android/iOS to allow users to purchase games on the Xbox console and subscribe to Game Pass while also claiming member perks directly from their phones. This feature is similar to the Steam app on mobile devices, which has allowed users to purchase PC games from their phones for quite some time. However, Microsoft has just implemented this on their end (why it took them so long is unknown).
In addition, the Xbox console now supports the Stream Your Own Games feature, allowing players to stream games they have purchased through the cloud. Previously only supported on PCs, smartphones, and smart TVs, this feature can now be used on the console itself after nearly half a year.
