Revolutionary Party Reveals Cyber Team Report: Army Decrypts Previously Leaked Account Passwords

Today, amidst the heated debate and lack of trust in the Prime Minister, Mr. Chaiyaporn Sathondei, a member of the Bangkok Representatives Council of the People’s Party, disclosed a report from the Special Security Committee on various forms of target attacks, divided into four approaches. These include spamming messages to various channels, reporting accounts in hopes of suspension, sending phishing links through messages, and password cracking through random password generation.

The report revealed that the Cyber Team searches for cyber leaks by examining previously leaked target information, such as discovering the passwords of Ms. Saree Atchawanantakul on various platforms. Although these passwords may no longer be in use, they serve as a guide for future password brute force attacks.

The issue of password reuse is a significant security concern, prompting NIST to emphasize the importance of eliminating all other password creation guidelines and focusing solely on ensuring passwords do not match previously leaked ones.

The report also highlights the aggressive information dissemination within a week, with 2,080 pieces of information posted. Such posting strategies resemble the information operations of the Thai military in 2020.
