OnlyOffice, an alternative open-source office suite (not to be confused with LibreOffice), has released version 8.3 with a significant change of supporting the ability to open and edit Apple iWork files (Pages, Numbers, Keynote) as well as files from Hancom Office, a Korean office software suite.
Previously, iWork files could only be opened using the iWork suite available exclusively on macOS or on the web, which posed a challenge for PC users on Windows and Linux. OnlyOffice’s capability to open these files undoubtedly enhances user convenience.
However, iWork files are in a closed format, requiring reverse engineering methods, which at times results in inaccuracies in displaying the files. Testing conducted by the website OMG Ubuntu revealed some notable discrepancies.

TLDR: OnlyOffice 8.3 now supports opening and editing Apple iWork and Hancom Office files, providing increased convenience for users, although some discrepancies may still exist in the display of iWork files.
