AIS has announced a partnership with Oracle to deliver Oracle Alloy Cloud Infrastructure Services on the AIS Cloud platform. Oracle Alloy is a platform that allows partners to leverage hardware, software, and over 100 services on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to offer services on their own infrastructure. This collaboration positions AIS as the first hyper-scale cloud provider in Thailand with data centers and operations run by a Thai company.
As a Managed Service Provider, AIS can integrate Oracle services and solutions into their existing digital platform and infrastructure, such as 5G, network, CPaaS, and AI & Data Analytics, while supporting Dedicated Cloud, Hybrid Cloud, Multi Cloud, and Dual Region setups for seamless service delivery and disaster recovery.
AIS’s CEO, Khun Somchai Leesuksuntiwong, stated that partnering with a global provider like Oracle to offer hyper-scale cloud services will unlock digital transformation potential for both public and private sectors. This collaboration is crucial for enhancing competitiveness, attracting investments, and driving sustainable economic growth in Thailand.
Garrett Ilg, Oracle’s Vice President and General Manager for Asia Pacific and Japan, emphasized the importance of providing a variety of options to partners and customers, while highlighting how this partnership will enable AIS to rapidly develop new services, including Sovereign Cloud and AI capabilities, in line with legal and data security standards.
With AIS’s data center in Thailand, AIS’s hyper-scale cloud services will comply with Thai regulations and support the government’s Cloud First policy. AIS is set to begin offering these services in the first quarter of 2025.
TLDR: AIS partners with Oracle to provide hyper-scale cloud services in Thailand, enabling digital transformation, enhancing competitiveness, and driving economic growth.
