Riot Games unveils “Project K,” a trading card game set in the League of Legends universe. Unlike their digital card game Legends of Runeterra, Project K stands as a standalone card game, sharing only the artistic style of the cards.
Designed to accommodate various playstyles, including head-to-head matches, team battles, and multiplayer games, Riot Games plans to introduce a range of events from local card shop tournaments to national and even global competitions. The game will open for public testing at the Teamfight Tactics Macao Open event in December.
Initially developed by a small team within Riot Games, Project K is set to launch in China first in early 2025, with plans to find partners for distribution and market expansion elsewhere.
TLDR: Riot Games introduces Project K, a new trading card game set in the League of Legends world, offering diverse gameplay options and competitive events, with a release scheduled for China in 2025.
