Roblox has reported a 38% increase in total revenue for the third quarter of 2023, reaching $713.2 million compared to the previous year. The revenue from in-game purchases and partnerships is expected to further increase by 20% to $839.5 million in the future. However, there was a net loss of $277.2 million.
The daily active users (DAUs) have grown to 70.2 million accounts, with 14.7 million paying players. The total playtime in the quarter was recorded at 1.6 billion hours.
Michael Guthrie, the CFO of Roblox, provided additional insights, stating that the spending figures on the platform have seen significant growth in the Western European and Eastern Asian regions. While the majority of revenue still comes from the United States and Canada when compared in US dollars.
