Today, rumors of production reduction have shifted to rumors of new production initiation. According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, Apple is rumored to kick off production of the MacBook Air with the M4 chip shortly, with plans to launch and sell it in early 2025.
The MacBook Air M4 will feature the same design with two screen size options, 13 inches and 15 inches. Most of the changes are anticipated to be internal hardware upgrades, utilizing the M4 chip following the release of the MacBook Pro, iMac, and Mac mini expected next week.
As for the Mac Studio, which is also rumored to feature the M4 chip, Gurman suggests it will come after the MacBook Air, possibly around mid-2024, while the Mac Pro is expected to be released by the end of next year.
