Rumors Swirl: ASUS to Manufacture Xbox Portable Gaming Device with Windows OS.

Following rumors of the portable Xbox gaming device launching at the end of 2025, The Verge website has provided additional information that this gaming console will use the Kennan code name and will be manufactured by ASUS. The news of ASUS is not entirely surprising, as they have previously pioneered the ROG Ally portable gaming device. However, it remains unclear whether this new device will be a standalone model or a successor to the ROG Ally 2, or if it will merge into a single entity.

According to Windows Central, this gaming device will have 2 sub-SKUs, running on the Windows operating system instead of Xbox. Microsoft will customize the interface to closely resemble Xbox. The advantage of Windows is the ability to install other stores such as Steam, Epic, and GOG. Gaming from the Xbox platform will be limited to previously purchased PC games (Xbox Play Anywhere) and gaming via Xbox Cloud Gaming.

TLDR: Rumors suggest a new portable Xbox gaming device by ASUS with a Kennan code name will launch in 2025. It will run on Windows with the ability to install other platforms’ stores and play Xbox games through Xbox Cloud Gaming.
