The latest hardware rumors from Xbox next-gen models have surfaced on Windows Central.
A portable gaming device codenamed Keenan is being developed in collaboration with a certain PC OEM manufacturer (name not specified). It is expected to run full Windows, focusing on PC Game Pass but possibly allowing Steam installation as well. The target release is by the end of 2025, barring any setbacks.
The successor console to Xbox Series X|S has received the green light from Satya Nadella, with a projected launch in 2027.
Additionally, there are reports of the next-generation Xbox Wireless Controller being able to directly connect to the cloud (similar to Stadia controllers).
Windows Central suggests that the upcoming Xbox hardware will have closer ties to Windows to ease the burden on game developers in having to separate games into Windows/Xbox versions but will still support older Xbox games.
