World, rebranded from Worldcoin, unveils its human verification system, distinguishing humans from AI by scanning retinas with The Orb machine, now launched in Thailand. The service will be available at 3 locations in Bangkok starting from March 13, 2568 T.E. with TIDC as the official partner in Thailand. World, a project by the renowned CEO Sam Altman, is set to expand its service points to accommodate increasing demand.
The 3 service points include:
– World Flagship at EmSphere Shopping Center
– NT Nong Bon Service Center
– NT Pathum Wan Service Center
Future plans include expanding service points to meet growing needs. Alex Blania, CEO and co-founder of Tools for Humanity, a company supporting technology for Worldcoin, participated in the launch event in Thailand. He emphasized that World’s Proof of Human service is designed to verify users as human without the need to store personal data. Unlike traditional identity verification systems, World utilizes Zero-Knowledge Proofs to confirm one’s humanity without disclosing personal information, by scanning retinas with The Orb machine.
Currently, World has over 11 million users worldwide and operates in more than 20 countries. Alex Blania further explained that this mission addresses the challenge of distinguishing whether online activities originate from real humans or AI, contributing to decreasing cyber deception in Thailand.
TLDR: World introduces a human verification system through retinal scanning with The Orb machine in Thailand, collaborating with TIDC and expanding service points to meet increasing demand. The Zero-Knowledge Proofs technology ensures user verification without disclosing personal information, addressing cyber deception concerns.
