Samsung Collaborates with Tesla to Connect Energy Management Devices with SmartThings

Samsung has announced a collaboration with Tesla, bringing Tesla’s energy products such as the Powerwall, Solar Inverter, and Wall Connector into integration with Samsung’s SmartThings platform. Through Tesla’s API, users can now manage their devices and energy within the SmartThings ecosystem.

This partnership is an additional collaboration from Samsung, following their recent announcement with Hyundai Group.

In addition to monitoring data, Tesla Powerwall users can also utilize the Storm Watch feature on the Tesla app, which sends notifications in case of severe weather conditions. These alerts can be displayed on home devices like Samsung Smart TVs connected to SmartThings.

Samsung will unveil further details about the integration between SmartThings Energy and Tesla Powerwall at CES 2024, with expectations of it being operational by the second quarter of 2024.
