Samsung to Launch Tizen Smart TV with RISC-V CPU, Flutter-Compatible Apps.

Samsung Updates Tizen Operating System Development Plan at Samsung Developer Conference 2024.

The support for Tizen on RISC-V CPU architecture, announced last year, confirms the upcoming smart TVs using RISC-V and the release of Tizen for RISC-V SDK in 2026.

Tizen now embraces Flutter, ever since Samsung started endorsing Flutter back in 2021, allowing Flutter apps to run seamlessly on the Tizen platform.

Support for AI processing on devices equipped with Neural Processing Units (NPU) enables on-device AI functionality.

The new Multi-Control feature integrates Tizen hardware with Galaxy hardware, enabling cross-platform control with a single mouse and keyboard setup.

Samsung is pushing for its home appliances to come with a built-in 7-inch screen, running Tizen, including ovens, washing machines, and refrigerators.

Smart TVs from 2025 onwards will support Passkey.
