Samsung has unveiled its proprietary artificial intelligence model named Gauss in the year 2023, and is currently striving to integrate it with Bixby. At the SDC24 Korea developer conference held a few days ago, Samsung introduced the enhanced Gauss 2 model, which is more powerful. This multimodal model supports language, code, and image inputs, with the option to choose from three sub-models based on usage patterns:
Compact, a small-sized model focused on fast on-device processing.
Balanced, a medium-sized model that strikes a balance between performance, speed, and size.
Supreme, a top-tier model emphasizing maximum performance, incorporating the Mixture of Experts technique.
Samsung has indicated that they are already using the Gauss 2 model with the code writing tool code.i within the company, and have begun utilizing Gauss 2 for call centers to categorize and summarize the content of each incoming call.
