Sony has announced the sale of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 for PC, following a new strategy that eliminates exclusivity on PlayStation moving forward, much to the delight of fans.
The PC version is a port by Nixxes Software, a studio Sony acquired specifically for this purpose. While this version doesn’t introduce any new content, it does include various updates from the PS5 version such as different suits and modes like New Game+ and Photo Mode.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to release on January 30, 2025, on both Steam and Epic Games Store.
The game had leaked information revealing a budget of up to $315 million, making it one of the games that caused Sony significant losses despite good sales, totaling 11 million units sold, making it the best-selling game for Sony during the PS5 era.
Over the past year, Sony has been releasing popular PlayStation titles on PC, including Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Horizon Forbidden West, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War Ragnarok, and Until Dawn. It seems that only the Gran Turismo franchise remains as a PlayStation exclusive.
