Google has introduced the Fast Pair feature for connecting Bluetooth devices, such as headphones, to Android since 2017. Most recently, Google announced the expansion of Fast Pair to work with Chromecast with Google TV, and it will be extended to Google TV smart TVs later this year.
This means that we can easily connect wireless headphones or speakers to large screen smart TVs, making it more convenient when watching movies on TV but keeping the sound only in the headphones to avoid disturbing others in the same room.
In addition, Google has partnered with TikTok to support video casting to Chromecast-enabled TVs. And earlier news stated that LG smart TVs support Chromecast natively, as well as acting as a hub to control Google Home smart home devices.
TLDR: Google’s Fast Pair feature now works with Chromecast with Google TV, allowing users to easily connect Bluetooth devices like headphones to smart TVs. The expansion of Fast Pair to more TV models is expected later this year. Additionally, Google has partnered with TikTok and LG to enhance the casting and smart home control capabilities of their smart TVs.
