At Build 2024, Microsoft showcased sessions on PC gaming on Windows on Arm, demonstrating the ability to run popular games like Borderlands 3 and Baldur’s Gate 3 on Snapdragon X Elite. In addition to direct game running, Microsoft also introduced the Auto Super Resolution (Auto SR) feature, utilizing NPU to enhance image scaling to meet both frame rate and image resolution requirements. As a result, these standout games can run at 1080p 30 FPS without any extra effort (Auto SR handles everything at the OS level).
Microsoft also highlighted the WorksOnWoA.com website, developed in collaboration with Arm specialist company Linaro, serving as a database listing which PC games can run on Windows on Arm and how well they perform. Currently, over 700 games run perfectly at 1080p 60 FPS, including popular titles like Control, FF XV, FF XIV, and FF VII Remake.
Although highly popular online games like Fortnite, PUBG, and Valorant do not yet support Windows on Arm due to anti-cheat system restrictions (similar to the Steam Deck issue), Microsoft announced that the BattleEye anti-cheat system used in Rainbow Six Siege now supports Arm processors.

TLDR: Microsoft showcased gaming sessions at Build 2024 on Windows on Arm, running popular games smoothly with Auto Super Resolution feature. Over 700 games perform perfectly on the platform, but some popular online titles are not yet supported due to anti-cheat system limitations.
