Bandai Namco has unveiled the trailer for Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, an expansion of the highly successful Elden Ring game set to release on June 21, 2023. The game will be available on all platforms (PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC) for $39.99.
Set in The Land of Shadow, a realm shrouded by the Erdtree, where the goddess Marika made her first visit, this installment offers new areas to explore, weapons to wield, and over 10 new bosses to conquer.
Hidetaka Miyazaki, the head of FromSoftware, describes Shadow of the Erdtree as the studio’s largest expansion yet, evident in the sheer number of bosses featured in the trailer. He also clarifies that George R. R. Martin, known for his work on Game of Thrones, was not involved in crafting the game’s narrative, as it is based on a mythos established by Martin himself.
