After conducting tests with a number of users over several months, Meta has announced that users of Facebook and Instagram worldwide can now post cross-platform content to Threads (if the country offers the service).
Previously, Instagram tested posting cross-platform content to Threads before expanding the trial to Facebook, which may be a key strategy in increasing content on Threads and expanding user base by leveraging Meta’s social network.
When sharing posts to Threads, there is an option to toggle whether to post simultaneously on both Instagram and Facebook within the post creation interface.
