Sonos Ace Headphones Market Leak Surpasses Target, Only 100,000 Units Remaining out of 1 Million Goal

Mark Gurman, the renowned journalist from Bloomberg, has shared some unofficial information from other companies (he’s not just focused on one thing). Most recently, he revealed that the newly released Sonos Ace headphones in May have fallen short of sales targets significantly.

Gurman reported that Sonos initially aimed to sell 900,000-1 million units of these headphones per year (an average of 2,500 units per day). However, in reality, they only sold around 250 pairs per day, which translates to 90,000-100,000 units per year (a decrease of 10 times).

But wait, there’s more. Gurman’s sources also mentioned that Sonos is working on developing their own TV box with the codename Pinewood, but the release date had to be postponed from January to March.

The current dilemma Sonos is facing revolves around the new version of their speaker control app, which was recently updated in May. It has been plagued with issues related to sound quality, stability, and other bugs, causing dissatisfaction among Sonos’ original customer base.

TLDR: Mark Gurman reports that Sonos’ new headphones, Ace, have drastically missed sales targets, and the company is facing challenges with their upcoming TV box and app updates.
