South Korea Implements Temporary Block on DeepSeek Download for Privacy Protection Concerns

The South Korean data protection authority has temporarily blocked the download of DeepSeek in the country, as DeepSeek was unable to comply with the user data protection requirements set by South Korea.

This order only affects the reinstallation of DeepSeek, while other services remain accessible as usual. DeepSeek had previously engaged with South Korean officials on this matter, acknowledging the need to swiftly adjust their services to comply with the requirements.

Previously, Italy had also ordered the removal of the DeepSeek app from the App Store and Play Store due to concerns regarding user data storage.
