Spotify Announces Membership Price Increase Exclusively Impacting Users in the United States of America

Spotify has announced a price increase for monthly subscriptions, specifically for users in America, affecting all packages immediately for new sign-ups and existing members in the next billing cycle.

The rationale behind this price hike in America is to ensure the company can continue investing in ongoing development to provide users with the best possible experience. It’s worth noting that such price adjustments are not a common occurrence.

The Individual package goes up from $11 to $12, Duo from $15 to $17, and Family from $16 to $20. Comparatively, these prices may seem higher than the Thai equivalent (Family in Thailand at 219 baht per month).

TLDR: Spotify increases monthly subscription prices in America to support continuous investment in product development for an enhanced user experience, with Individual, Duo, and Family packages seeing an increase in prices.
