Starbreeze Studio CEO is ousted following unsuccessful release of Payday 3 game.

The highly anticipated heist game, Payday 3, is set to be released in 2023 with mixed reviews and sales performance (average review score of 66/100, with the second installment scoring 79/100). However, the game is riddled with numerous issues such as gameplay glitches and unstable servers.

Founded in 1998, Starbreeze is a Swedish game company currently listed on the Stockholm stock exchange. Known for past hits like The Chronicles of Riddick and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, their most successful title to date is Payday 2. Currently, the company is developing a new game set in the Dungeons & Dragons universe under the codename Project Baxter.
