Starbucks recently appointed Brian Niccol as the new CEO, allowing him to work from California without requiring him to relocate to the headquarters in Seattle, and even permitting him to use the company’s private jet for travel.
Taking a page out of Starbucks’ book, Victoria Secret also followed suit by appointing a new CEO who works from New York, despite the headquarters being in Ohio.
While CEOs enjoy more freedom in their work arrangements, Starbucks faced backlash last year when the company mandated employees to spend at least 3 days a week back in the office.
