Steam Deck LCD model gets a 25% price drop, now more affordable than Switch in the US.

Valve has announced a temporary price reduction on the older model of the Steam Deck, featuring an LCD screen, in anticipation of the Steam Autumn Sale festivities.

This price drop now positions the Steam Deck LCD models at the following prices in the United States:

– Steam Deck LDC 64GB originally priced at $349, now reduced by 15% to $296.65
– Steam Deck LDC 512GB originally priced at $449, now discounted by 25% to $336.75

Comparing these prices to the Nintendo Switch handheld gaming consoles, the Switch LCD is currently priced at $299.99 in the US (with no discounts offered by Nintendo themselves), while the OLED model is priced at $349.99. It is evident that the Steam Deck LCD is slightly more affordable.

TLDR: Valve has reduced the prices of the older Steam Deck models with LCD screens temporarily, making them a more cost-effective option compared to the Nintendo Switch consoles.
