Last night, Steam broke its online concurrent players record once again with a staggering 36,930,452 people, surpassing the previous record set in March 2024 at 36,354,393 players.
The surge in Steam players can be attributed to the mid-year Steam Summer Sales, which drew in more players overall.
The top games with the highest number of players remain Counter-Strike 2 with 1,331,887 players, followed by Dota 2 with 726,706 players, and Elden Ring, which recently released a new DLC and now boasts 533,563 players. Additionally, Elden Ring holds the title of the best-selling game on Steam during this period.
