Unknown Worlds Studio, the creators of the underwater survival game Subnautica, which made its debut in 2014 (some may remember it as the first free game on the Epic Games Store in 2018), has unveiled the long-awaited first trailer for the sequel, Subnautica 2.
Acquired by Krafton, the parent company of PUBG, in 2021, Unknown Worlds has confirmed that they are actively working on Subnautica 2. The visuals from the initial teaser trailer give us a glimpse of a vastly improved underwater world in the upcoming installment.
Set in a water-filled alien world, players must survive and explore the secrets of this distant planet. One exciting new feature in this sequel is the option for cooperative play for up to 4 players, while still maintaining a quality single-player experience.
The game is set to launch in Early Access in 2025 (exact timing yet to be announced) on PC platforms like Steam, Epic, and Xbox Series X|S (no word yet on a PlayStation release).
TLDR: Unknown Worlds teases the highly-anticipated Subnautica 2 with improved underwater environments and cooperative play, set for an Early Access release in 2025 on various platforms. Excitement builds for this upcoming underwater survival adventure.
