Subreddit communities have initiated a ban on posting links from x.com in response to Elon Musk striking a Napoleon-esque pose at Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration. It all started in the r/newjersey room, which was flooded with a whopping 66,000 votes as of writing this news. The movement has since spread to other rooms like r/military, r/comics, r/spiderman, r/pcgaming, and many more communities are debating whether to follow suit.
Reddit’s approach is for each community to establish their own guidelines for governance. Apart from Elon’s controversial taste, some communities also raise concerns about X refusing to allow previews of links without logging in as a reason for prohibiting posts from X.
