Successful Space Mission: SpaceX Tests Raptor Engines in Space on 6th Starship Mission

SpaceX successfully conducted the 6th test mission of the Starship spacecraft this morning Thai time. The Super Heavy rocket separated from the Starship when it took off 2 minutes and 45 seconds according to the plan. However, the rocket did not return to the launch base to undergo testing from the 5th mission. Instead, the control room directed the rocket to divert its course into the Gulf of Mexico.

Meanwhile, the Starship spacecraft followed its trajectory as planned. A new detail of this test is that the spacecraft successfully started the Raptor engine in space for the first time. This was to test the spacecraft’s capability to travel into outer space for future missions. Subsequently, the Starship returned to Earth, landing in the Indian Ocean as scheduled.

SpaceX has not disclosed any issues that prevented the Super Heavy rocket from returning to the launch base after the 5th test mission.

In this 6th test mission, SpaceX’s CEO Elon Musk and former US President Donald Trump were present at the Boca Chica space base in Texas to witness the event.

TLDR: SpaceX conducted the 6th test mission of the Starship spacecraft successfully, with the Super Heavy rocket not returning to the launch base, and key figures like Elon Musk and Donald Trump were present to witness the event.
