Konami has announced the release of Suikoden I & II HD Remasters on March 6, 2025. These remasters have been in development since 2022 and were initially planned for release in 2023, but the timeline has been extended to 2025.
Suikoden is a J-RPG game from the PS1/PS2 era that draws inspiration from the Chinese novel “108 Stars of Destiny.” The series consists of a total of 5 main installments, with the remastered versions of the first and second installments set to be released on various platforms including PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
Yoshitaka Murayama, the creator of the Suikoden series, passed away earlier this year. He also worked on Eiyuden Chronicle, a game with similar themes to Suikoden, which was released this year as well.
