The Supreme Court of Montenegro has overturned the decision of the lower court to extradite Do Kwon, the founder of Terraform Labs and creator of the Terra/Luna coins, as an extradited criminal who crossed borders between the United States and South Korea. The decision on which country to send him back to lies with the Minister of Justice of Montenegro.
The Supreme Court’s ruling states that the decision to extradite Do Kwon, requested by both countries simultaneously, must be made by the court. The extradition process did not follow the proper procedures, as claimed by Do Kwon’s lawyers, prompting the court to reconsider which country Do Kwon will be sent to.
Meanwhile, Han Chang-joon, the CEO of Terraform Labs who was also detained in Montenegro, has been sent back to South Korea.
