Tesla’s Sales in China Dip by 11.5% in January 2025, While BYD Sees 47% Growth

In the month of January 2025, the automobile sales statistics in China revealed a noticeable shift. Tesla experienced a decline of 11.5% in sales compared to the same month in the previous year, while BYD saw a remarkable growth of 47%.

Specifically, Tesla sold 63,238 vehicles, whereas BYD achieved sales of 296,446 units. Other Chinese electric car brands like Changan and Xpeng also showed significant growth during this period.
