THAI Academy by Microsoft and Thai government to enhance AI skills for 1 million Thais.

Microsoft Thailand, in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society, has launched the “THAI Academy driving Thailand’s AI future” project, aiming to enhance the skills of over 1 million Thai individuals by 2025 to propel Thailand into the era of AI First.

Citing data from LinkedIn, Microsoft found that 70% of the skills needed for future work will change significantly, with a sixfold increase in AI proficiency required. Therefore, to drive change in Thailand, it is imperative to start by developing individuals alongside teaching AI skills to enhance work efficiency and foster new innovations.

The THAI Academy aims for state agencies and educational institutions to benefit from and enhance AI skills in the following ways:

– Collaborate with the Civil Service Commission and Social Security Office to develop AI skills for over 100,000 government officials.
– Partner with the Department of Skills Development to enhance AI skills for Thai workforce and job seekers, benefiting over 100,000 individuals.
