The Registry of Criminal Records, Office of Forensic Evidence, Royal Thai Police, has revamped its website for the public to check their own criminal records. The domain has been changed from www.crd-check.com to www.crd.go.th in line with the government policy of using .go.th domains to instill confidence in the public.
Ms. Geankar Unjit, Deputy Spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office, stated that the policy of using .go.th domains is derived from the Electronic Transactions Act of 2022 and the Prime Minister’s Office Regulations on Information Management of 1983, further amended by the Prime Minister’s Office Regulations on Information Management (4th Edition) of 2023. However, upon reviewing both documents, it does not explicitly mandate the direct use of .go.th domains, but rather specifies the email addresses of the respective government agencies.

TLDR: The Thai police have updated their website for public access to criminal records with a new .go.th domain to enhance public trust.
