Thai Parliament Unveils Public Access to Database: Meeting Records, Budgets, and Documents Available for Download

The Thai Parliament organized the Open Parliament Hackathon, unveiling the entire database for the first time. The event commenced on August 6, 2024, with the project’s website hack.parliament.go.th making public the Parliament’s dataset as announced. The released data consists of four parts:

1. LIS system includes records of parliamentary proceedings, legislative status, agenda setting, and voting results.
2. MSBIS system reports Parliament meetings dating back to the year 1932 (in scanned documents) and full-text data from the year 2000s.
3. DL (LIRT) system is a repository of parliamentary knowledge such as academic papers, legal analysis, budgets, and various committee reports.
4. Budget documents comprise draft budget laws and supplementary budget documents from the years 2022-2025 in spreadsheet format.
