The Bybit Crypto Market Falls Victim to Ethereum Hack Totaling 47 Billion Baht

The cryptocurrency market Bybit was recently compromised by hackers who breached the security of a cold wallet controlled by a smart contract, allowing them to transfer over 400,000 ETH worth 47,000 million Baht.

Despite this significant breach, the price of Ethereum saw only a slight dip, currently holding steady at $2,680 per ETH. It is speculated that the hackers may take some time before attempting to sell off their stolen assets.

Bybit CEO Ben Zhou reassured users that the market still possesses a sufficient amount of tokens for customers to withdraw their funds, and that the market will absorb the damages incurred from this incident.
