The Current Player Base of Palworld on Steam Drops by 97% Compared to Initial Launch Period

Palworld, an Early Access game that combines survival open world elements with monster taming and raising, has gained immense popularity with a peak player count of up to 2.1 million players during its initial launch. It quickly rose to become the second most played game in Steam history.

Current data from SteamDB reveals that the number of players for Palworld on Steam has decreased by over 97% from its peak of approximately 275,000 players per day since the beginning of March. The player count continues to steadily decline, with only 63,603 players remaining.

Despite the continuous decrease in player numbers, the game has generated profits in the tens of billions of yen, with production costs below 1 billion yen. Pocketpair has not abandoned the game and has recently announced a roadmap that includes new features such as PvP, Raid Bosses, Pal Arena, Cross Platform system between Xbox and Steam, new Pal characters, and much more.
