The Empowerment of Impoverished Individuals: Genshin Impact Players Encounter Game Accessibility Issues Post Update to Version 4.3, Attributable to Suspected Central Processing Unit Constraint, Dubious as to Compatibility with SSE 4 Architecture.

After the highly popular mobile game developer Hoyoverse (formerly known as Mihoyo) released their Version 4.3 game update on December 20, 2566, they encountered an issue where some players were unable to access the game. The problem manifested as the game not launching after the player pressed the launch button.

A Reddit user, going by the name MinusPL, speculated that this issue may be due to the game’s lack of support for SSE 4.1 and SSE 4.2 instruction sets. Numerous players experiencing the same problem chimed in with comments, most of whom were using CPUs that were at least 10 years old.

As of the time of writing this news article (December 26, 2566, 19:33 PM), Hoyoverse has not officially acknowledged this issue nor provided any solutions for it. Players are left with only three options:

1. Wait for the developers to release a game patch addressing the problem.
2. Play the game on other platforms such as mobile or PS5.
3. Purchase a new CPU (which would, of course, necessitate buying a new motherboard and RAM as well).

TLDR: The latest game update from Hoyoverse has caused some players to be unable to launch the game, possibly due to the lack of support for specific CPU instruction sets. The developers have yet to address the issue, leaving players with limited options of waiting for a patch, playing on other platforms, or upgrading their CPUs.
