The Sales of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Game Discs Drop by 30% at Launch in UK compared to Remake Edition

Information from Gfk, as reported by Christopher Dring via Gamingbolt, states that the game Final Fantasy VII Rebirth has seen a 30% decrease in physical game sales in the UK compared to the Remake version. Despite the Remake version being released in 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth struggled to match its predecessor’s sales figures.

At the time, the PS4 gaming console had shipped 110 million units, while by the year 2024, the PS5 had shipped 54 million units, indicating a significantly smaller player base. However, there is currently no data available on the digital sales of this game, making it challenging to determine the overall sales performance of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

TLDR: Final Fantasy VII Rebirth experiences a 30% decline in physical game sales compared to the Remake version in the UK. Despite lower console sales, the digital sales figures remain unknown.
