Uber’s Q3/2023 Revenue Surging, Netting a Staggering $221 Million Profit

Uber has released its third-quarter 2023 earnings report, showing a 21% increase in Gross Bookings, reaching $35,281 million. This translates to $9,292 million in revenue for Uber, marking an 11% growth. The company has generated a profit of $394 million from its operations, with a net income of $221 million.

The Gross Bookings figure for Uber reflects growth in both of its core businesses. The rideshare business experienced a 31% increase, reaching $17,903 million, while the food delivery business saw an 18% growth, reaching $16,094 million. However, the freight business experienced a decline of 27%, down to $1,286 million. Uber’s CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi, stated that this business still faces significant challenges post-COVID-19.

Other notable data from Uber’s report includes a rise in user accounts by 142 million and an increase in the number of trips taken, totaling 2,441 million.
